Practices

  1. Practices limited to three per week before the season and one per week during the season.
  2. Teams are restricted to three activities (games and practices) per week.
  3. Maximum two-hour duration per practice session.
  4. Any team meeting with the manager or coach is considered a practice.
  5. Batting practice on game day is not considered a practice.

Game Rules:

  1. Game duration: six innings with a time limit of one hour and fifteen minutes, unlimited runs in the last inning if time permits.
  2. Ten minutes of infield practice allowed for each team before the game with visitors taking the infield first.
  3. Pitching limits:
    1. Each pitcher may pitch a maximum of 75/85 pitches per day with a 4 days’ rest period.
    2. Rest periods based on pitch count:
      1. 1-20 pitches: 0 days’ rest
      2. 21-35 pitches: 1-day rest
      3. 36-50 pitches: 2 days rest
      4. 51-65 pitches: 3 days rest
      5. 65-up pitches: 4 days rest
      6. The rest period does not start until the next day after the game.
  4. Once removed, a pitcher may enter the game at a different position but not pitch again.
  5. Five-run limit per inning.
  6. Inability to field eight players results in automatic forfeit.
  7. Lineup sheets must be submitted ten minutes prior to game time. All team members of the roster for that game will be listed in the batting order. Players arriving late to a game will have their names placed at the bottom of the batting order. Any player removed from the batting order, for any reason, will be counted as an automatic out during that player's next turn at bat only.
  8. Courtesy runners allowed for pitchers and catchers.The runner must be the last out of the inning. If there are no outs, the runner will be the third out from the previous inning.
  9. Footwear and uniform regulations are enforced (No Metal Cleats).
  10. Protective equipment must be worn by all players. All catcher must wear a throat protector, helmet or head protector with mask, shin guards, and a chest protector. All catchers must use a catcher’s glove. Each batter, runner, and on deck batter must wear a helmet. The helmet shall have safety features equal to or greater than those provided (with full plastic cap, extended ear flaps that cover both ears and temples). If a batter enters the batter’s box without a helmet, he will be declared out by the umpire. When an umpire witnesses a runner deliberately removing his helmet during action, the violator will be declared out immediately. This action, in no way, eliminates a force play situation.
  11. Coaches must remain in the dugout or coaching box, with penalties for non-compliance.
  12. No designated hitters allowed.
  13. Coaches allowed two mound visits per inning per pitcher. On the second mound visit, the pitcher must be removed from the pitcher’s position.
  14. Runners may lead off and steal bases except for home. When the runner is on third he may lead off but can only steal home on a passed ball.
  15. Pitchers allowed no more than five warm-up pitches between innings. New pitcher will receive 10 warm-up pitches.
  16. Balk rule enforced with one warning per inning.
  17. Manager responsible for conduct of team and parents.
  18. Alcohol prohibited for parents or spectators.
  19. The batter may run to first on the third strike, if the catcher drops the ball and first base is unoccupied. In the case of two (2) outs and first base occupied, the batter will be allowed to run to first even with first base being occupied.
  20. Slide/Avoid Contact Rule enforced to avoid contact between player and catcher.
  21. Mercy Rule: Game declared complete if team leads by at least ten runs after fourth inning.
  22. No interference allowed from the batter when the runner is attempting to steal third (Batter to remain in batters box).
  23. Home plate is considered “live”. If the runner is attempting to steal home, the batter must step out of the box. If the batter fails to do so, the batter will be called out. Home Plate will have a mandatory slide rule to avoid dangerous contact. Umpires will have the final decision on making that call.
  24. Designated coach appointed by the umpire to represent the team during official business.
  25. Officials not obligated to explain or justify calls to coaches or parents.
  26. Mask required for anyone warming up a pitcher, players recommended to wear a cup.
  27. Walk-on music must be approved.

Post-Game Rules:

  1. 1.Team, players, coaches, and parents responsible for picking up litter after the game, failure to do so results in penalties.
